Cookie policy

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Sites also use similar browser storage (local storage, session storage and IndexedDB). This page lists everything RivalMap and the providers it uses store on rivalmap.tech, and how to change your choice. For how we use personal data in general, see our privacy policy.
Your choice
Strictly necessary storage and your preferences are always on: the site cannot work without the first, and the second only remembers settings you chose. Analytics runs only if you accept it in the cookie banner. If you reject it, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics scripts are loaded. You can change your mind at any time:
When you withdraw consent, analytics stops for the rest of your visit and we delete the analytics cookies we can reach on rivalmap.tech (Google Analytics, Clarity and our visitor id). Cookies that Microsoft keeps on its own domains are cleared through Clarity’s consent controls, or you can delete them in your browser. Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which we ask again.

We do not use advertising cookies. Google Analytics and Clarity receive an explicit “denied” signal for advertising storage and personalisation.
On other sites
Checkout runs on Lemon Squeezy’s own site, and Google and GitHub sign-in on theirs. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies. Maps in the app load imagery directly from Google and label fonts from Vietmap; these requests set no cookies on rivalmap.tech.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Blocking strictly necessary storage stops sign-in from working. Many browsers can also send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour.
